A Little About Me

My name is Jermaine, or Jay for short. Growing up during the rise of accessible technology and cameras, I was always drawn to editing apps and playing around with different filters. From a young age, there was something about capturing a moment that just felt right to me. I would ask friends if I could take their pictures, or have them send me photos to edit.

As I transitioned from adolescence into adulthood, life became more about working hard to get by, but I felt my creative side slipping away. One day, while at work, I couldn't shake the feeling that I needed to reconnect with that creativity. I wasn't gifted with a paintbrush or pencil, but then it hit me—the joy I felt as a kid taking photos. I realized I could 'paint' with a camera. So, I bought my first camera. It wasn’t as simple as using a phone, but after years of trial and error, I became a self-taught photographer. Today, I’m also a nature lover, philosopher, and enjoyer of life.

Over the years, photography has taught me that it’s a powerful form of self-expression. Through my work, I capture not only my vision but also the unique expressions of my clients. I aim to bring together their ideas, inspirations, and dreams, utilizing the natural environment and my tools to create something organic and real.
